How Conductive Adhesive Works

Without conductive adhesives, ESD tiles would have no place to discharge unwanted static charges; every tile would be like an isolated island – charges would be stuck on individual tiles with no place to go. Staticworx® conductive adhesives enable an ESD floor to do its job by conducting static electricity back to the earth.

Conductive adhesives act as a ground plane, providing electrical continuity between every ESD tile in a room. They don’t just hold the floor in place; they pull static away form the tile surface. That’s because electricity flows to the path of least resistance. So when static charges contact the top of the floor, they dissipate through the floor to the conductive adhesive ground plane and on to ground – safely and effectively. Conductive adhesives are the path of least resistance.

Grounding a Staticworx® floor is straight forward and easy. Our adhesives eliminate the need for expensive copper equipotential grounding grids of the past; the conductive adhesive is linked to ground with copper connector strips. The strips can be attached to electrical conduit, building steel or a dedicated grounding bar. Copper ground connectors are 24” long and are supplied with every Staticworx® flooring shipment. Only one connection is necessary for every 1000 square feet of contiguous ESD flooring.

CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVES

GroundTack CONDUCTIVE Adhesive: - A releasable adhesive manufactured with Thunderon fiber to create an electrical ground plane, providing total continuity across an ESD flooring installation. Far superior to expensive conductive tapes, messy black adhesives and complex grounding grids, Staticworx® Adhere MC is easy to install and can be walked on immediately. When installed under modular carpet or vinyl tiles, Adhere MC provides an excellent bond and offers the flexibility of a release adhesive. With Adhere MC, the adhesive stays tacky and never dries completely; tiles are easily lifted and removed for repair, replacement or reuse, without ever even having to put down more adhesive. For use with Staticworx® Conductors™ ESD carpet tile, Ameriworx™ precision milled vinyl tile and Foundation™ Series vinyl tile.

Statbond™ CONDUCTIVE Adhesive:  - . A solvent free, acrylic adhesive designed for use with any conductive or static dissipative rubber and vinyl floor covering. Statbond™ adhesive creates a permanent conductive bond between rubber or vinyl flooring and the subfloor. Well-suited for use with roll goods or in areas where a strong bond is required. Statbond™ can be used on all grades of concrete on, above or below grade in the absence of moisture as well as suspended approved wood floors (APA.)

NON-CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVES

Staticworx® MVR
NON-CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE: A super high bond vapor retardant adhesive for applications where vapor emission could be a problem. Staticworx® PS
NON-CONDUCTIVE ADHESIVE: An economical state of the art adhesive engineered exclusively for vulcanized rubber sheet flooring. Staticworx® PS is an easily applied pressure sensitive adhesive for our Staticworx® conductive Rubber EC Roll Flooring and Vinyl ESD Roll Flooring. Because Staticworx® EC rubber has a fully conductive bottom layer, it is possible to use this economic non-conductive state of the art pressure sensitive adhesive. Please note: This adhesive can only be used with EC sheet rubber. It can not be used not be used with SD rubber or Rhino rubber.
